We are talking about Hemachal Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple which is located in Mallur village of Warangal district of Telangana state. This temple is built on a hill named Puttakonda at an altitude of about 1500 feet above sea level. It is believed that the idol (vigraha) of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy has appeared from this hill itself. On the way to the temple, Lord Hanuman is also seated in the form of Shikhanjaneya and is considered the protector deity of Mallur. He told that there is a temple in India where the idol of God is still alive. He told that this temple is none other than Lakshmi Narasimha Temple which is in Mallur Village of Telangana. It is said that this temple is 4000 years old, the idol of Lord Narasimha in this temple is not hard but soft like a human body.
He said that this idol is 10 feet long and so soft that by placing a flower on this idol and pressing it, the flower goes inside and by pressing more, blood also starts coming out of this idol. Apart from this, a liquid like blood keeps coming out from the navel of the idol, to stop this, sandalwood paste is applied there. The priest of this temple also tells that when one goes near the idol, one can feel the breathing of the idol. People believe that Narasimha Swami himself lives in this temple.

A stream flows near the temple, which is believed to have originated from the feet of Lord Narasimha. This stream was named “Chintamani” by Queen Rudramma Devi and is called “Chintamani Jalapatham” by the locals. This water is considered holy and has medicinal properties. Devotees either bathe in the water or take it with them in bottles.

What is the time to visit the temple

​Hemachal Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is open for devotees till the right time, so that you can have a comfortable darshan. The temple opens from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, after 1 pm the temple closes for a while and then reopens at 2:30 pm and remains open for darshan till 5:30 pm. It is believed that after 5:30 pm Lord Narasimha roams around the temple and the surrounding forests, so darshan is possible only till 5:30 pm.

By road: Buses are available to Malluru from Warangal, Manuguru and Bhadrachalam-Edulapuram Road. You can also go by taxi, cab or your own vehicle.
By rail: The nearest railway station to reach Malluru is Manuguru (BDCR).
By air: Take a flight to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad and from there you can reach Malluru by road or rail.
