Ever since the inauguration of the Ayodhya temple, devotees want to see Lord Rama as much as they can. This is the reason why the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is going to start its fifth “Shri Ramayana Yatra” deluxe train tour from July 25, 2025. This journey will be of 17 days, in which more than 30 places of India and Nepal related to Lord Rama will be shown. The journey will start from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station and the first destination will be Ayodhya, where travellers will visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi and Ram Ki Paidi (Saryu Ghat).
After this, several other places are also covered:

  • Nandigram – Visit to Bharat Mandir will be provided here.
  • Sitamarhi and Janakpur (Nepal) – Where Mata Sita was born and Ram-Janaki temple will be shown.
  • Buxar – Here you will be able to visit Ramrekha Ghat and Rameshwarnath Temple.
  • Varanasi – You will visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Corridor, Tulsi Temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and Ganga Aarti.
  • Prayagraj, Shringaverpur, Chitrakoot – The journey to these places will be by road and we will stay there for the night.
  • Nashik – Trimbakeshwar Temple and Panchvati will be visited.
  • Hampi – Here you will see Anjaneya Hill (where Hanuman was born), Vitthala Temple and Virupaksha Temple.
  • Rameswaram – Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi will be visited

IRCTC will organize this journey through Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train, which has been provided with modern facilities. IRCTC said that this train is equipped with “state of the art” i.e. very luxurious and latest facilities. It has facilities like two restaurants, modern kitchen, separate cabin for taking shower in the coach, sensor operated washrooms, and foot massage machine.
This is a fully air-conditioned (AC) train, in which three types of seating will be available – First AC, Second AC and Third AC. Along with this, special care has been taken for the safety of the passengers, CCTV cameras and security guards will be present in every coach. The price of this package includes all these things: travel by train, stay in 3-star hotel, all vegetarian food, road transport, tour arrangements, travel insurance and tour manager.

IRCTC officials said that people’s interest in spiritual tourism has increased since the inauguration of Ram Mandir by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January 2024. This journey will take devotees on a religious and cultural journey to major Ramayana sites in India and Nepal, giving people an opportunity to know the cultural heritage along with spiritual experience.
