When is the Amarnath Yatra starting?

This year the Amarnath Yatra is starting from July 3, 2025 and will end on August 9, 2025. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has given information about this. He has said that a large number of devotees are expected to come this year, so strict security arrangements have been made.
Can anyone take part in the Amarnath Yatra

Anyone from across the country can join the Amarnath Yatra but it is mandatory to register first. No one will be given entry without registration. Let us tell you, the registration process has started on April 14, 2025. Devotees can fill the online form through the official website of SASB, jksasb.nic.in.
Medical certificate will have to be shown

Just registering is not enough to join the Amarnath Yatra. It is also very important to be physically fit. In such a situation, people between the age of 13 to 70 years will have to show Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC), which will confirm the fitness of the pilgrims. Please note, if you have any long term disease including heart or respiratory disease, then you will not be considered eligible to travel.
Where to stay during Amarnath Yatra 2025

Pilgrims will find insulated huts and weather-resistant tents in the camps on both Pahalgam and Baltal routes. However, before starting the Amarnath Yatra, do research for information about tents, huts and camps, so that you do not face any problem later. Please note, this shelter can be booked. Food and drink options during Amarnath Yatra 2025

Ration items will be available at the government depots in Chandanwari, Sheshnag and Panjtarni at reasonable prices. Along with this, there will be tea shops and small eateries on the way, which provide hot drinks and snacks. Along with this, pilgrims are advised to carry dry, non-perishable food items like biscuits, energy bars, packaged food with them.
