After a long wait, the Char Dham Yatra has finally begun. This journey is considered to be of great importance in Hinduism. Char Dham is formed by combining four holy places of Hinduism, which are located among the high hills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. These include Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. After Yamunotri and Gangotri, now the doors of Kedarnath will be opened on May 2 for this journey.

Kedarnath Dham is very special in many ways. Apart from being one of the four Dhams, it is also one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. However, the way to reach here is full of difficulties and one has to climb a tough mountain, but due to changing times and development in technology, helicopter facility is also available to reach Kedarnath. In such a situation, today in this article we will tell you how to book a helicopter for Kedarnath.

How to book a helicopter?
  • Before booking a helicopter for Kedarnath Dham, it is necessary to register for Chardham Yatra . To register, you can visit the official portal of Uttarakhand government.
  • At the same time, helicopter booking service to go to Kedarnath is available on IRCTC Heli Yatra.
  • For this, first go to the official portal i.e. heliyatra.irctc.co.in and click on sign-up.
  • Now enter all the details asked here like your name, phone number, email ID and complete the sign-up form to create your account so that you can book the service.
  • After signing in to the IRCTC Heli Yatra portal, you will now have to fill in your travel registration details.
  • To book tickets for multiple pilgrims, enter the Group ID, whereas to book helicopter service for a single individual, enter the Unique Registration Number.
  • A maximum of 02 (two) helicopter tickets can be booked from each user/booker ID. There can be a maximum of six (06) passengers per ticket. That is, a user/booker can book a group of maximum 12 passengers on 2 tickets with one user ID.
  • To book tickets for more than 12 passengers the User/Booker has to create another User ID/Booker ID on heliyatra.irctc.co.in.
  • Then select your travel details on the portal. Select your preferred travel date and any one helipad and airline company like Guptkashi, Phata or Sersi.
  • After entering all the details, go to the helicopter fee options on the portal. After successful payment, you can download your confirmed ticket. Keep it with you during the journey.

keep these things in mind

  • The helicopter service will be available from May 2 to May 31. You can choose the date to book helicopter tickets as per your convenience and choice.
  • While travelling in helicopter, keep the original ID card (which was submitted at the time of booking) with you, only then your ticket will be considered valid.
  • Screenshots of printed tickets, half printed tickets etc. will be considered fake/invalid and such people will not be allowed to board the helicopter. Also, law enforcement agencies can detain them.
