Tips for devotees

Tips for devotees

Devotees are advised not to travel alone and carry heavy luggage. It is a good idea to carry essential items like a raincoat, water bottle and camphor. Camphor can provide relief from the smell and low oxygen problems, as open defecation is a big problem on the way. Continuous rain reduces the smell, but if the rain stops, the risk of diseases like cholera increases. So, perform the pilgrimage only when there is good rainfall. (photo credit:wikimedia commons)
