You must have seen dozens of places in Vrindavan, sometimes you must have gone to Shri Banke Bihari, sometimes you must have visited Prem Mandir. Half of the people go to a temple on their own, but have you ever heard about these 8 places, which are included in the unique places of Vrindavan. Let me tell you, there is a temple of Mahadev here, whose idol is dressed in Ghaghra in the evening, you must have been surprised but this is true and here is such a temple of Thakur ji where he used to sit and play the flute. If you are not going to visit the mountains, then explore these places of Vrindavan once, you will definitely get immersed in the devotion of Krishna.

The first is Gopeshwar Temple.

Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan, located near the holy river Yamuna. This temple is famous for the Shivling of Lord Shiva, which was established by Vrajnabh, the great grandson of Shri Krishna. Thousands of devotees come to this temple to see Lord Shiva as it is one of the few Shiva temples in Vrindavan.
The special thing about this temple is that here in the morning (from 6:00 am to 10:00 am) the Shivling is worshiped in male form, and in the evening (from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm) during Raasleela, the Shivling is decorated and worshiped in the form of Gopi. In which he is dressed in a Ghagra and is tied with a bow.

Ranganatha Temple

Ranganatha Temple

Ranganath ji has a very beautiful temple which was once said to be the largest temple of North India. Famous for its special Dravidian (South Indian) style architecture, this temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Goda-Rangamannar. The design of this temple is inspired by the famous Sri Ranganath Swamy temple of Srirangam, in which a beautiful combination of South Indian and North Indian architecture can be seen. The temple has 5 square circles around the main sanctum (main part) and there are also two beautiful stone doors made in Jaipur style in the east and west direction.

Bansivat Temple

Bansivat temple is commonly known as “Bansivat Maharas Sthali”. It was established by Acharya “Shri Nivasacharya” ji of Shri Nimbarka sect. There is a huge banyan tree in Bansivat, from where Radha-Krishna appeared.
“Bansi” means flute and “vat” means banyan tree. This is the tree under which Lord Krishna used to play the flute. Listening to the tune of his sweet flute, Radharani and countless gopis used to come to Krishna under this banyan tree.

Nidhivan

Nidhivan

Nidhivan is a holy place located in Vrindavan, which falls in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The name “Nidhivan” is made up of two words – “Nidhi” which means sleep or rest, and “van” which means forest. It is also called “Tulsi Ka Jungle” because there are a lot of Tulsi bushes here.
It is believed that every night Radha and Krishna come here to perform Raas Leela. That is why this place is closed for common people after sunset so that its sanctity is maintained. No one is allowed to stay here at night, as it is said that divine activities happen here at night.

Tatia Location

Tatia Sthan is the meditation place of Swami Lalit Kishori Ji, who was the seventh Acharya of the Haridasi tradition. Even though not many people know about this place, it is deeply connected to Swami Haridas Ji (who discovered the idol of Banke Bihari Ji). Here, sadhus and saints leave their normal life and get absorbed in the devotion and meditation of Lord Krishna. The special thing about Tatia Sthan is that everything here is very peaceful.
