Lansdowne is a quiet place. Of course, there is a lack of adventure activities here, but there is a lot of opportunity to spend moments of relaxation here. Here is the command office of the Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army. Perhaps for this reason, the natural beauty of this place, situated at an altitude of about 1707 meters, remains intact even today. Lansdowne is one of the best places to visit near Delhi. Where you don’t even have to spend a lot of money.

Boating in Bhulla Tal
There are few options for tourists, one of which is Bhulla Tal. This is a man-made lake, which has been constructed by the Garhwal Rifles. Boating can be enjoyed in it. You can also enjoy the surrounding views by sitting on the lake shore. There is also a small handicraft showroom nearby where silk and cotton sarees are available. There are many snack points here, where one can find delicious snacks like aloo tikki, samosas and many more. Do not miss to taste the snacks of Army Bakery located in the local market here. Which are cheap and number one in taste.

Tadkeshwar Shiva Temple
The 600 year old Tadkeshwar Shiva temple is 40 km away from Lansdowne. The whole area is covered with dense deodar trees, where sunlight sometimes does not reach. Coming here is a must to see it.

Experience Peace at St. Mary’s Church
Lansdowne was named after Lord Lansdowne, who was the Viceroy of India from 1888 to 1894. The St. Mary’s Church here is very popular. One experiences immense peace after entering the Gothic style church situated amidst pine and deodar forest. Being situated on a mountain top, this church has its own unique adventure of admiring the entire valley and the Himalayas. Looking at the white clouds and lush green forests, it seems as if it is a painter’s canvas.

Behold the Valley from Tip in Top
You can reach here by trekking from St. Mary’s Church. Tip in Top (Tiffany Top) is also called Snow View Point of Lansdowne. Here it is a unique feeling to gaze at the white Himalayas and see the smiling trees on the silent mountains.
