Kedarkantha, situated at an altitude of about 12500 feet above sea level, is located in the Garhwal Himalaya Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand region under Govind National Park. Kedarkantha trek distance 

Kedarkantha is an easy trek for beginners . This approximately 18 kilometer long trek may take 4 to 5 days to complete. This trek starts from Sankri village. As one starts moving towards Kedarkantha from Sankri village, trekking becomes a bit difficult due to the icy road. 

Necessary preparation for Kedarkantha trekking

  • Do not try to climb with a very heavy bag. 
  • Don’t forget to keep warm clothes with you.
  • If you are trekking for the first time, then definitely take the help of a guide.
  • Going to Kedarkantha in monsoon is not a good option at all.
