January

In January, the festival of Lohri and Makar Sankranti will be celebrated on 14 January. January 14 is a Saturday and January 15 is a Sunday holiday, so you can plan to go somewhere on the 13th i.e. Friday night. 13, 14, 15 long weekend will be available.

Apart from this, 26 January i.e. Republic Day is on Thursday, so to make it a long weekend, you will have to take leave on 27th i.e. Friday. So you will get full four days leave. In which you can plan many such places, for which 4 days leave is required. 

February

In the month of February, you will get a long weekend to roam. The festival of Mahashivratri is on 18 February Saturday. So if you take Friday 17th February as a holiday, then in it you will get 18th, 19th Saturday, Sunday. In this, you should plan for a three-day trip. 

March

The festival of Holi is being celebrated this time on Wednesday, March 8. So if you want to go somewhere outside your city and celebrate this festival, then this is a very good opportunity. For this, take leave on 9th and 10th March i.e. Thursday and Friday. After this Saturday, Sunday will be a holiday. Means for a long gap trip of 5 days.

April

There will be a long weekend in April as well. Tuesday 4th April is Mahavir Jayanti and 7th April is Good Friday, if you take a holiday between 5th and 6th April, you can cover destinations like Kerala in 6 days off. 

May

In the month of May, Buddha Purnima falls on the 5th, which is a Friday, followed by a full 3 days off on Saturdays and Sundays.

June

There are two long weekends in June. Jagannathji’s Rath Yatra will start on June 20, that day being Tuesday. If you take leave a day before that i.e. on Monday, then you will be able to enjoy a long weekend of 4 days on 17th and 18th June i.e. Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Apart from this, long weekend will also be available on Bakrid in June. Bakrid will come on Thursday, 29 June. If you take a holiday on 30th June Friday, you will get 4 days weekend on 1st July Saturday and 2nd July Sunday.

August

August 15th Independence Day is on a Tuesday, so if you take August 14th off, you can enjoy four days off on August 12th and 13th, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Apart from this, Onam is on Tuesday, August 29 and Raksha Bandhan is on Wednesday, August 30. From 26-30 August, you can plan a five-day holiday. 

October

2 October Gandhi Jayanti Monday, 30 September and 1 October Saturday and Sunday will get a total of 3 days off. Also this month there is Dussehra on 24th October which is on Tuesday. If you take a Monday off, then from October 21 to 24, you can enjoy a relaxing vacation.

November

Most Teej festivals take place in November. This time 12th November is Diwali which is a Sunday, 13th November is the day of Govardhan Puja and 14th November is the festival of Bhai Dooj, so you can plan your holiday from 11th November to 14th November.

December

In the year 2023, Christmas is falling on a Monday, so you can plan to visit 3 days off on Saturday, Sunday and Monday 23rd, 24th, 25th.
