It is very difficult to find the right hotel to stay in Ladakh during the travel season. Due to being a beautiful place not only in the country but in the world, crowds are seen here in large numbers. But this crowd is most visible in places like Pangong Lake, because there is a long wait to stay at such a place, due to which a situation like confusion, overcrowding arises here. Keeping this problem in mind, the officials of the Tourism Department of Ladakh have requested all the travelers to book their stay in Ladakh well in advance, especially for visiting the Pangong Lake area.

Here are the reasons for booking in advance –

The reason being, Pangong Lake is a wildlife sanctuary and tourist activities and overcrowding can definitely disturb the wildlife in the area by not booking in advance. Also, being a wildlife sensitive area, there are limited number of lodging arrangements in the lake area.

Pre-arrangement for accommodation –

The travel advisory has asked travelers not to venture into high altitude areas like Khardung La, Chang La, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri and Pensi La for 48 hours until the situation becomes favourable. Along with this, the department has also said that travelers should make all their arrangements in advance before coming to Ladakh. With this, you will be able to avoid the hustle and bustle at the last minute and facilities for accommodation will also be available easily.

Take help of taxi in Ladakh –

The best way to travel around Ladakh is to book a local taxi, this will help you avoid hassles like local rules and regulations and driving on difficult roads and unfamiliar places.

This place is very sensitive in many things –

In particular, Pangong Lake is a beautiful place both domestically and internationally . The lake is shared by both India and China. The Indian part of the lake is one third of the total lake area. Two thirds belongs to China. It goes without saying that the region is ecologically, politically and culturally very sensitive.
